Tootsie Roll and I love it when we have a new task and there is brainstorming to do! And that we have done. We have some sponsor ideas...like some of the local vets, pet supply stores, etc...I am pretty sure that if you got discounts or special perks at some of these places by being a member of the Pug Meetup Group our attendance would increase.
Tootsie and I also think it would be fun to have guest speakers - maybe two a year...Probably vets, etc...to talk about pug care, etc... Or invite pug rescue groups in to keep us up-to-date on their efforts. Maybe even find out if some of our group members have some special talents they share with us. Or businesses they would like to promote within the group!
It would also be fun to have something members have to bring, like a pug joke...pug story...pug tip, to share with the group...some way of increasing interaction among the humans.
And, ironically enough, I just got a letter in the mail from Kentuckiana Pug Rescue. They have had to close the Indiana sector of the rescue organization as it is out of funds. It sounds like our Pug Meetup group needs to do some fundraising!
