Lending a Hand

We got an email through our ETSY shop asking if TootsUncommon would like to donate an item to the Mended Hearts Rescue Gala in March.  What better way can TootsUncommon give back then by donating an item that will not only help the mission of Mended Hearts Rescue, but will also continue to create a cuter continent one canine at a time.  Below is the informational letter we received with the email.  Maybe some of our Pug Blog Friends can find a way to lend a hand as well!!

Dear Friends:

Our annual fundraiser, renamed for 2014 to the Mend-A-Heart Gala, is scheduled for Saturday March 29, 2014 from 6:00 – 9:30pm at the beautiful Indiana War Memorial located at 431 N. Meridian St in downtown Indianapolis. Last year, this event raised over $10,000 to support our mission of rescuing and rehabilitating animals in the Indianapolis area.

We have been extremely fortunate to double the attendance and funds raised at this event year over year since its inception in 2010. This is only possible through the support of our community, specifically business and individual sponsorships. We’d love to continue the trend in 2014, and to this end, have organized an event beyond anything we have done before. A casual cocktail party on the veranda will start the evening, followed by a  Gala including a buffet, entertainment, silent auction, and raffle

Last year’s sponsors included Monarch Beverage, Upland Beer, Sunking Brewing, Jones Soda, Holy Cow Cupcakes, Dr. Mary’s Club, My Pet Carnivore, Integrity Consulting Group, Crossroads Charity Riders and dozens of other local business.

We would be grateful for any assistance you are willing to provide. We are looking for financial sponsorships as well as in-kind donations of goods for the event including items for our silent auction and raffle. Sponsorships valued at over $250 (in-kind or financial) will be have signage placed at the event and include supplied materials in our attendee gift bags such as business cards, coupons, etc. provided by the sponsors. We will be thanking all sponsors on our website, Facebook page and Twitter account with links as requested.

Items such as jewelry, pet products, artwork, accessories, gift certificates, party favors, paper goods, etc. are also be greatly appreciated. All donated items become the property of Mended Hearts Rescue, Inc. for use at this event or a future fundraising effort.

We are an IRS recognized 501c3 non-profit organization and your donation is tax deductible.
