Metaphysically Speaking...

...Speaking of "our" existence and the nature of reality that is!  Where no PUG has gone before!  But, after lots of reading, re-reading, and thought...we were able to narrow it down to three...

-Existentialism- individual existence, free will, choice, define own meaning
http://www.philosophybasics.com/branch_existentialism.html
-Pantheism - God and Nature are one in the same
http://www.philosophybasics.com/branch_panentheism.html
-Phenomenology - reality is made up of what one perceives/understands
http://www.philosophybasics.com/branch_phenomenology.html

Now, these are pretty simplified definitions/explanations...but if you think about each one, you will comprehend its "gist" and will also know if any of these metaphysically speak to you!

Tootsie Roll slept on it a bit, but finally determined that Phenomenology gives her a framework to her perception of her own existence and the world around her...It makes sense....her world is what is happening to her at that moment...and living in the moment is a pretty good thing!

"Pug Pillow Top...you are so soft and comfy, I love you and the way you cuddle all around me and keep me cozy and warm!"

Now although the PUGMAMA believes that she and the PUG are one in the same, and that this really speaks to her Cherokee blood.  And the fact that the PUG laying on her lap as we PUG BLOG is the most special PUG right her and now!  She also knows that it is her choice to love and cherish the PUG as much as she does, to define how she and the PUG shape the DOG FASHION WORLD, and to chose to walk the hood every single day with her best furry bud!  Tootsie Roll therefore claims that the HU"MOM" is an Existentialist!  So be it!

An amazing quote from one of the "founder" of Existentialism, "Life must be understood backward. But it must be lived forward ”  Søren Kierkegaard

And one from a "founder" of Phenomenology, “He who thinks great thoughts, often makes great errors” – Martin Heidegger

So, how do you perceive existence and the nature of reality?  Metaphysically speaking that is?  http://www.philosophybasics.com/branch_metaphysics.html
