TootsUncommon: Nobody Does It Like...

...Sleeping Pets! Or is that, Nobody doesn't like sleeping pets! Hmm...This makes me and Tootsie Roll laugh because one of my Spanish teacher friends was originally Sara Silver. She married a British guy named Craig Lee...Not wanting to become Sara Lee, Sara went for the modern hyphenated version and is now known as Sara Silver-Lee....But, when all this was going down we kept having the conversation about the Sara Lee slogan and which way was correct...here is what Wikipedia has to say,

"The Sara Lee Corporation was an American consumer-goods company based in Downers Grove, Illinois. It had operations in more than 40 countries and sold its products in over 180 nations worldwide. Its international operations were headquartered in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Sara Lee is also the brand name of a number of frozen and packaged foods, often known for the long-running slogan "Everybody doesn't like something, but nobody doesn't like Sara Lee," often incorrectly reported as "Nobody does it like Sara Lee." Personally, Tootsie Roll and I like the old slogan better... And Tootsie Roll definitely like sleeping and eating...although she does not get any Sara Lee treats! No way, Jose...or Hose B for that matter! Ha! Ha!

We all know that our pets do a lot of sleeping....Yep, that cat nap can total a whopping 18-20 hours, and we all know that a typical cat is more active at night...I guess our kitties are not normal; because we often wake up in the middle of the night with a cat sleeping on a head, chest, neck, or curled up by Tootsie Roll! Which we LOVE!

And a dog nap? Well, what is cool about a dog is that there is no typical sleeping pattern. The dog will adjust its sleep/nap around when it needs to be the most or least alert; that is pretty neat! Although Tootsie Roll must feel that we are pretty safe most of the time because as soon as she hits my lap, the couch, her pillow top, or the bed she is snoring away! Which we also LOVE!

Now Lucille the Yellow Lab...She is more of a light sleeper/napper. I think she is on the ready at a moments notice sleep cycle! What is super cute is that in the evening while we are watching TV, etc...she will curl up in Tootsie Roll's little bed by the front door. But, when it is bedtime, she sprawls out in her big girl bed in the bedroom! Which we really LOVE!

Really, what is sweeter than a sleeping animal? Like they say, "Let sleeping dogs and cats lie". Why screw up a beautiful thing?!
